Schuyler County Transit is the public transportation system with 5 routes with village service connecting  Watkins Glen, Montour Falls and Odessa.  Commuter Services include: Corning and Tompkins Connections and rural service is provided through Dial-A-Ride and Rural Connections. Schuyler County Transit is committed to providing safe, convenient, and affordable transportation.  If you have never used public transportation, now is the time to try! Schuyler County Transit is operated under a contract with Schuyler County by The Arc of Schuyler, a not-for-profit organization providing supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

URGENT UPDATES

SERVICE ALERTS:

Tompkins Connection TRAVEL ADVISORY - State Route 79 from SR 414 to SR 227 EXCLUDING the Village of Burdett Town of Hector Schuyler County The New York State Department of Transportation today announced pavement rehabilitation has begun on State Route 79 from State Route 414 to State Route 227 in the Town of Hector, Schuyler County. The project will be completed in two stages. The first stage will be a heater scarification treatment, also known as hot-in-place recycling. This segment will also receive a single course asphalt overlay after the heater scarification is completed. The project will begin Monday, July 1, 2019 and is anticipated to be complete by mid-August 2019, weather permitting.

Franklin Street, Watkins Glen - Effective Immediately

Due to ongoing construction, Franklin Street has limited access.  Village Connections may be rerouted from Franklin to Decatur as needed and route deviations may only be served through our Dial-A-Ride service until further notice.

Primary Care, Montour Falls - Effective Immediately

Due to ongoing construction, the Primary Care Bus stop will be served as an “On-request” only stop. Passengers must board and disembark curbside at the drive entrance and Steuben Street.
